Day 8 in the Books!

Day 8 was a bit of a rollercoaster ride again for the second straight day, I made some really questionable decisions which are obvious leaks in my game; and I have to learn to step away from the game for a second when I'm upset or have other things on my mind other than poker. I should have been up close to 100$ today but only finished up 43$, again it was a pretty decent day but again just like day 7 it could have been much better. But there are a few ideas I want to start working into my game, thanks to a few great ideas I picked up from Phil Galfonds posts over at 2+2, posts that are a few years old. My favorite one I picked up was this:

"There are more options than you think you have. Thinking outside the box, turning made hands that are good enough to call into bluffraises that turn out to be even more profitable."

And the other big one I'm going to hold with me and try to apply at all occasions is this:

"Every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play."

Poker is a much deeper game than you initially think, and I'm going to continue to work as hard as I can, study the thought processes and ideas of great players and try to become a beast in my own right.

Stay tuned, because I'm going to the top.

End of Day 8 Bankroll: 278.19
